Graduate calibre, you will
have at least eight to ten years current managerial experience gained within the Mortgage
Market and a thorough understanding of general Banking. Exposure to Data Protection,
Consumer Credit, Miras, Conveyancing and Legal Practices is essential as is technical
knowledge of systems hardware and software packages. |
In January 1998 the Mortgage
Product was launched which has already generated over 41,000 applications. Reporting to
the Operations Director, the Head of Mortgages is responsible for managing, motivating and
developing a team of 250 within a highly technical Sales and Support environment. |
The successful candidate will
have first class communication, influencing and people management skills. A strong
business orientation will be coupled with a strategic focus and an eye for detail.
Candidates will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence, continuous
improvement and customer service. Project and resource management skills are
pre-requisites for the role. |
Responsible for all mortgage
administration you will ensure that systems, controls and manpower are in place to support
the high levels of business. Meeting Compliance, Regulatory and audit requirements are
also vital. Picking up the reins immediately after the point of sale has been reached, key
challenges will be to provide consistently high quality service and maintain a high
quality lending portfolio. A key objective will be liaising with outsourcing solicitors to
ensure security is in place. |
